Presentations and public speaking are an inevitable hazard of the corporate and business world. For some they are a numbing chore, for others a fear. They require a set of skills not always readily available and, for some who find themselves forced into these roles, even difficult to define.
It is not enough for the competent public speaker to possess knowledge and insight on the topic they are discussing, in order to get the message across, in order to become the determining factor in the audience’s response to their presentation, the speaker must exude confidence both verbally and physically, grabbing the audiences attention; If interrupted their response must be quick and authoritative without being domineering; It is not enough that they make a point, in order to convey that point it must be correctly structured and timed; All the while they must be able to read the audience’s responses and adapt accordingly.
All of these skills are employed daily within the comedic performance industry.
All of these skills can be isolated and developed.
All of these skills are available. The resource of experience, both in live performance and in the tutoring and development of these skills, is not just available but has always been available, but only to members of the comedic and theatrical industries.
We are changing that.
We are making the development of these skills available to the business and corporate world. We are providing the opportunity to gain in a short period of time what many individuals only begin to learn through the arduous process of trial and error. We are providing the opportunity to learn relevant skills not from people who merely tutor public speaking, but from people who utilise these skills on a daily basis, and we go further by furnishing the participants with the opportunity to put these skills into practice in a live environment.
Not every facet of every skill developed in these workshops will be directly applicable to every individual’s circumstance. But these workshops are holistic. The participant is not provided with just and only just the tools they themselves will need in their present situation, they are provided with the entire toolbox.
